Tess Edmonds is a mixed-media artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her current artwork centers around soft sculpture figurines created from fabric remnants, fallen branches, beads, watercolor, and found materials. Some are protectors or guardians, others are embodiments of archetypal or elemental forces, and others are whimsical manifestations of the imagination.
“My art is very much a co-creative process with the little Beings – it’s as though they’re revealing who they are as they come to life, and I try to respond by accentuating the personality and story that is emerging.”
